Cadillac has been sold in the European market since the early 1920s and Europe has always been an important market for GM’s global prestige luxury brand. In 2010, a newly created GM organization, Cadillac Europe, has been established to manage import, distribution and marketing of a selected range of Cadillac models specified for the European markets. The vehicles are retailed through a fully authorized Cadillac sales and service network in key European markets.
Cadillac pioneered many technologies and accessories in automobiles, including full electrical systems, the clashless shifting manual transmission and the steel roof. The brand developed three engines, one of which (the V8 engine) set the standard for the American automotive industry.
The model line-up includes the ATS premium sport sedan and coupe, the CTS premium sedan, the SRX crossover and the all new Escalade and Escalade ESV full-size luxury SUV. In 2015, Cadillac will also be introducing the new high-performance ATS-V coupe and sedan as well as the CTS-V sedan.
